Ruth
Ruth moved to Los Angeles in 1973 to be near her oldest brother and complete her PhD. Her brother, a medical doctor, was interning at a psychiatric hospital, where Ruth was introduced to the field of psychology—a discovery that would shape her life.
She has since spent over four decades as a psychologist in private practice. An avid runner, Ruth found Los Angeles to be an ideal environment to explore her passion. The city’s weather and open spaces allowed her to connect with nature and fellow runners.
Her love of travel was sparked during college, and she now dedicates at least one month each year to international exploration. Wherever she goes, she seeks new friendships, fresh perspectives, and inspiring places to run.
About Style
Ruth’s style reflects her world travels and laid-back California roots. Petite in stature, she favors vibrant, unique pieces that complement her frame. She’s especially fond of eye-catching sweaters paired with leggings or tailored pants. Her dark bob is streaked with violet and pink, adding a playful touch. “Age is not a barrier to style,” she says. “Older women can be fashionable and vibrant.”
