Originally from Shanghai, China, Rena is grateful for the kindness and support she received when she emigrated to California in the mid-1980s, barely speaking English. After attending college and raising a family, it was finally HER time! She believes that age is just a number and a perspective. “Life has so much to offer, whether old or young,” she says.

A certified public accountant by trade, Rena has worked for insurance companies for over 25 years and now works in commercial real estate management. She loves staying active, meeting new people, and spending quality time with friends and family. She also enjoys the performing arts and traveling, exploring unique cultures and histories.

“Life hasn’t always been easy—Rena faced the sudden loss of her husband while their children were still teenagers and bravely battled a serious cancer diagnosis. Yet she refused to let these hardships define her. Guided by a powerful Chinese saying, ‘Every crisis turns out to be an opportunity,’ Rena lives life to the fullest and gives back generously, embracing gratitude as her compass.”
